Blinds on Paper is a new series of works testifying to Dirk Heveraet’s interest in colour, linearity, matter, layering, light and movement. The artist uses a rubber mat to press paint on mould-made paper or canvas.

A dozen prints on mould-made paper were created during the corona period, using paint remnants from the larger Blinds series shown in 2020.

The three-part "Tracks of Bucha and Bakhmut" refers to the conflict in Ukraine. Once again, we find the ambiguity that arises when the artist strikes a delicate balance between structure and chaos. The relentless and unsparing tracks nevertheless create a pallet of colour, light, movement, and hope on the artist's canvas.

The exhibition runs from 15/01/23 till 04/03/23. We are open every Friday and Saturday afternoon between 14 and 18h or on private appointment.
