Marine Walon
After completing a Master's degree in Communication, Marine Walon (°1987) moved to Argentina from 2010 to 2016, where she developed her passion for painting and drawing. She enrolled in the Fine Arts program at the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires and took additional courses in painting, drawing and photography. Back in France since June 2016, Marine regularly exhibits in galleries and cultural centres.
Her drawings are often the prelude to her paintings, exploring tenderness, serenity, harmony and emotion. Marine Walon is inspired by her encounters and travels. She also creates characters or situations from her own imagination.
Her work focuses mainly on the representation of the human figure, especially women. She expresses herself through figurative compositions in saturated, contrasting colours, with well-defined lines, underlined by a background reminiscent of Impressionism.
