Laura Cascone

Laura Cascone is a painter and performer, her installations are based on painting although her current research practice incorporates the use of unusual materials such as canvas rolls, fabric, masks. The artistic journey of Laura began with the use of color as a primary communicative tool and then evolved into poetic research of the intimate human nature through multidisciplinary activities.

She cooperates with public and private partners, including Museums, EU Institutions and galleries. After graduating in Political Science at Padua University, Laura specialised in Human Rights with a thesis on art as a tool of awareness. She then moved to France working for the Cultural Heritage Service of the Council of Europe and finally settled in Brussels in 2002.
